Collective Biofuels Conference, Cowichan Valley 2011

Collective Biofuels Conference, Cowichan Valley 2011

During August 5 to 7, 2011 CEA and the Cowichan Biodiesel Co-Op hosted the Collective Biofuels Conference (CBC). The CBC brought together renewable energy experts, enthusiasts and interested beginners to discuss all things biofuels, with a focus on biodiesel.

The conference included topics such as feedstock, biodiesel production and distribution. There were discusions about alternative fuels, emerging technologies, regulatory issues, and biodiesel coop case studies from across North America.

Conference organizers planned a visit to the biodiesel facility, vineyards for wine tasting, ending with dinner at a local organic farm.

About the Conference

This was the first Collective Biofuels Conference outside the United States, and it happened in here in the spectacular Cowichan Valley! The CBC was founded as the Collective Biodiesel Conference in Colorado in 2006, and has also been hosted in Washington, D.C. See past speaker topics and presentations on the CBC website.
